Branded content is increasingly becoming a dominant feature across the culture. But this comes with a degree of responsibility: to add value to individuals and to the wider landscape, and to live up to the trade-offs built into audience and brand relations. At this year's Content Awards I'm hoping to see a real blend of creativity and technology -- and tons of informational value.

Vince Medeiros is co-founder and publisher of TCO, makers of youth culture magazine Huck and film brand Little White Lies. TCO also make branded content, working with some of the world's leading brands to connect them with millennial audiences. 
In a previous life Vince was an editor at Surfing Magazine, in California, a reporter for The Orange County Register, and a contributor to LA Weekly, OC Weekly and others. His work has appeared in dozens of media outlets around the world. 
Vince is also a filmmaker. He wrote and produced feature-length documentary Rio Breaks, a Sundance Channel co-production, and has executive produced multiple shorts for Huck and Little White Lies. He is also conducting a PhD research into media output at the intersection of branded content and journalism.
